It was a fine, bright, and beautiful day when our couple, Traci and Grey, got married. I love how everything was illuminated by natural sunlight that it felt like such a lighthearted and joyful wedding. And this vibe and setting matched with the timeless and classic details created such elegance despite the simplicity. One good illustration of this description is the ceremony venue – with it’s great and beautiful layout and the big windows that allowed entry of sunshine – it was definitely a perfect start for the rest of the day. I wonder what must it feel like to have the opportunity to become the most beautiful woman inside a structure built to house and honor the achievements and legacy of women in the field of arts – because that’s what our today’s feature’s bride felt like the day of her wedding. This couple is undeniably in love with Washington DC (aside from each other, of course) and what better way to celebrate this affection plus their special day than to have it in one of the national museums. Such an amazing and elegant idea. Everything came down perfectly, from the color choices to the setup. The transformation of the hall for the ceremony and then for reception was spectacular as well. I totally love this picture (above) of our couple because it looks so editorial and chic. But anyway, this wedding is just timeless and classic – the details, the outfits and the pictures say so themselves. Our bride wore a lovely mermaid wedding dress with her hair up in a chignon to showcase her beautiful pearl necklace. If that doesn’t read timeless to you then I don’t know what will. Not every bride and groom can say that they got married in castle like a fairy tale prince and princess so when a couple decides to do just that, we’re all eyes and ears as to how they delivered this amazing moment. And lucky for us, our feature today was set in a venue that will make us say “And they lived happily ever after” for it was held in a castle that is just majestic in all it’s glory.The ceremony and the reception was held inside in a conservatory room that was formal and welcoming in the day and was then transformed to be fun and elegant as the day progressed. Our bride and groom’s wedding color accents, red and purple, are actually their favorite colors. See, not only do they match as a couple (read: their love story) but their preferred colors match tastefully as well. Also, their compromise on this difference was done well – only the bride and groom were adorned with red accents but the rest of the event had purple ones. This is truly a lovely wedding.
In Linh & Chris wedding day, everything was almost at par with tradition. The ceremony and the reception were elegant and classy but they followed conventional themes. So when our couple had their after-ceremony shoot, they decided to squeeze in a little bit of a modern twist. This bit was such a delight for their photographer as she was provided with a venue, the Naguchi Gardens, that was breathtaking and unique. The couple was able to pose as they like and it set the fun mood for their reception, which we were told was just completely stress-free. Also, look out for the bride’s outfit change because it was a perfect mix of class and sexy!
