Extra Special Wedding Details

The Kate Spade Impact: I love everything Kate Spade, so while I was making decor decisions I kept that in mind. I wanted to have a wedding that was fun and modern, but felt timeless at the same time.

The Theme: Black and gold was the main theme, but I also incorporated bright colors with the flowers and some decorations.

DIY Pleasures: I designed and printed all of the stationery for our wedding, including save the dates, invitations, and some signage. I also made all of the place cards for the reception. They were tiny toy animals I spray painted gold with the name card inserted in the top. The sign on the table said, “find your party animal”.

The Dress Fairness: While looking for bridesmaids dresses I wanted something classic and fun. Something that I know the girls would love and I something wouldn’t regret five years from now looking back at my wedding pictures. For months, I searched and searched for the perfect bridesmaids dresses and I happened upon an amazing designer, Camilyn Beth. The dresses were a solid black fit-and-flare and very simple from the front. Then the back of the dress was a deep v with gold sequin panels. Wedding business in the front, party in the back!

Tips From The Bride

♥ This might be random and a small “hack”, but I used Google Docs to keep track of everything from budget, to guest list, to food choices. It was so easy to share the document with family and they could update and add to it with us. If we couldn’t find a family members address, they could quickly log on and just update the list for us. Problem solved!

♥ As stressful as wedding planning can be, take the time to enjoy it! It all happens so fast. I also think it is important to do as much wedding planning together as a couple as you can.
