Thinking about your theme when tying the knot on a Valentine’s Day can be pretty easy. Well, as for Courtney and Aaron, they had a classic black and red motif. Long black dresses and tuxedos styled the whole entourage. But here’s the catch – the bridesmaids had posh rose balls instead of the traditional stemmed bouquets! Calla lily boutonnieres are to groomsmen as posh rose balls are to bridesmaids. How clever is that? Thank goodness the weather was as light as a feather, that the sky was clear, and the sun was at its peak. Their outdoor wedding went serenely as planned. And oh, their four-tier cake looked as soft as a pillow, a slice would be great right now. Yum yum! Way to go, love birds!
Our Story
Aaron and Courtney met at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce in November of 2012. Courtney had just helped move her father’s company from Cincinnati Ohio to Northern Kentucky that past February. When they were finally moved into the new location Courtney decided to join the Chamber in hopes of meeting local businesses. In December of 2012 Courtney decided the only way to meet local business was to get involved. She joined the Business Engagement committee and Aaron happened to be on the committee!
Love did not happen right away. The two ended up showing up to the January 2013 meeting early and got to know each other for a bit before the meeting. Aaron is a CFP and Courtney is all about bringing new business to her father’s company. She encouraged Aaron to come and introduce himself to TBS Meat Distributors in hopes of getting some added business. Little did she know she would meet her best friend and husband to be in the weeks following his visit to T.B.S.

The Proposal
Aaron proposed downtown Cincinnati at Palomino Restaurant. Aaron had planned on proposing earlier in the evening at the Festvial of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo. Not finding the perfect proposal spot at the Zoo the two headed off to dinner. The two had a table that overlooked Fountain Square with the beautiful lighted Christmas Tree. Dinner was perfect and then out came dessert! A plate full of sparkle. Aaron got down on one knee and proposed in the middle of the restaurant.
The Planning Process
The two got engaged in November of 2013 and decided to wed on Valentine’s Day 2015.
