Middle of Summer’s Night Dream

Chris ♥ Jade

How lovely it is to get married in an utterly beautiful and romantic city – Florence! For Chris and Jade, it was  an outdoor ceremony in a beautiful garden in the city they loved so much, followed by a reception with their closest friends and family. It was an intimate affair of 50 guests. Great food and wine was a huge priority, but naturally, being Italy this was not going to be a problem for them! Chris and Jade – congratulations on your wedding! May the love for each other find a way to creep into your lives every time you feel the need for it!

Extra Special Wedding Details

The best wine hunt. A few days before the wedding, Rosie The Wedding Planner organised a wine tasting tour for the family in Chianti to choose the wines for the wedding. The group stayed at the magnificent Villa Cora and the day before the wedding they had a ‘treasure hunt’ around Florence ending in a roof top restaurant for the welcome party!
The best time! The ceremony and reception was just before sunset so guests had enough time to explore the extensive secret gardens of Villa Peyron with a glass or two of prosecco while enjoying a jazz band.
The garden ceremony. It was very touching and when the groom played a surprise song on guitar for his new wife, there was not a dry eye in the house (or garden!).
The decor. Festoon lights, outdoor chandeliers and plenty of candles lit the dance area until the wee hours in the warm Florence night, while the distinct scent of lavender which decorated the tables and bridesmaids bouquets, hung in the air.
The brides bouquet. She had tube roses and  a beautiful antique wax floral headband for her hair which she switched for fresh flowers during the dancing without fear of it getting damaged!
