Will ♥ Meg

How gorgeous and refreshing would it be to have a wedding reception at a greenhouse! Yes, at a greenhouse. This idea might not be new, but Megan and Charles weren’t wrong to have decided where their reception will be. Between the hanging flowers, the greenhouse, and the draping flowers on the tables, the effect was a romantic garden complete with twinkle lights. Let us witness their beautiful union by browsing through their gallery!

The Love Story

Megan and Will met for the first time in February 2012 at the beautiful Natural History Museum of Utah. While the newly-opened museum was fascinating, they were too busy talking to each other to explore the exhibits. Will popped up the question on August 31, 2013 in Grand Tetons National Park. The weather and scenery were perfect when she sweetly said “Yes!”.

Extra Special Details

The bridal style. Megan was effortlessly elegant in her A-line wedding dress with her beautiful hair down topped off with a tiara and a Juliet cap veil.

The wedding programs. Megan took the time to handmade the programs. She made booklets and decorated them with tassels. She added little silhouettes depicting the wedding party.

The florals. The tables had tall centerpieces or candelabras that worked out beautifully with the high “ceilings” of the room. The fact that the reception was in a greenhouse it was already breathtaking. The hanging flowers, and the ones draping over the table, the effect was a romantic garden complete with twinkling lights.

The favors. Aside from the welcome bags for everyone staying in their hotel block, they gave the guests Godiva chocolates!

Take it from the Bride

Don’t try to do it alone. I had to do most of the planning on my own because my family was so far away. In the end I took pride in doing it myself, but some of the huge mess-ups could have been avoided if I’d included them more once they were in town. Also, speak up! You’re going to get a lot of opinions from a lot of places. In the end it’s YOUR wedding and YOU want to be happy with it.
