Amanda and Isaac were introduced to each other four and a half years ago. Now, Isaac who was so eager with Amanda’s big yes, planned a big drama for his proposal which of course took her heart and her yes right at the moment. So, Amanda wanted her fairy tale to happen in an enchanted forest full of forest green, champagne, gold, and blush colors which are an epitome of their royal love story. Set under the twinkling lights and glowing candles in a great hall, with butterflies and flowers, glitters and gold, everything went well as planned. This is the start of the beautiful life together for Amanda and Isaac. We are glad you met each other!
Our Story
My best friend and I went to Israel for our summer vacation one year. While there, we went to her cousin’s wedding one evening where she introduced me to Isaac.
The Proposal
After four and a half years together, Isaac proposed on December 5, 2014. He called me that afternoon saying his car broke down and he needed me to pick him up. When I got to where he said he was waiting for me, there was a big white limousine, with the driver holding a sign with my name written on it. I was in complete shock and almost didn’t realize the sign said my name on it. When I got in the limousine there was a bouquet of flowers, and a 3d video Isaac made with milestones and pictures from our travels together. The limousine brought me to a park where a candle-lit path led me to where Isaac was waiting. He proposed to me there and I said yes! We then went to my parents house where both our families and friends were waiting to celebrate with us.
The Theme
The theme of our wedding was Enchanted Forest. I wanted it to be different than anything anyone has ever seen before. I was inspired by the fall season, and wanted my guest to feel like they were in a fairy tale with the flowers I chose, the candles all over the hall, the twinkling lights. The color palette was gold, champagne, blush, and forest green.
The Songs
For our first dance, we chose the song “Cosmic Love” by Florence and the Machine. We both love Florence and the Machine and thought the song was perfect for us. I asked the band to play a cover of the song sung by Hermitage Green. And when it came time for our first dance, Isaac surprised me by having the lead singer of Hermitage Green, Dan Murphy, flown in to sing Cosmic Love for us! The band was amazing as well (Montreal Rhapsody). We danced with our guests until 3 in the morning. It was so much fun!
A Memorable Moment
One of the greatest moments was when he came to my house to pick me up the morning of our wedding. He was waiting for me at the bottom of the staircase with my sisters, my parents and cousins, and I walked down the stairs in my wedding dress. We were both so emotional and so excited to see one another. It was so memorable.
