This wedding perfectly portrays how two cultures can come and harmonize together to celebrate an amazing thing called ‘love’. In an east meets west kind of romance, Monica & Doug’s wedding was a blend of American and Chinese culture and despite the differences in these two, you can see how the ceremony and reception achieved balance that not one thing looked out of place. And that fierce after-wedding dress that our bride wore was just regal and beautiful. Congratulations to you both!
The day started out in the awesome rooms they have on the opposite ends of 3rd floor. As Doug + Monica did their preparations, I could see both excitements and nervousness in their faces. The look on Doug’s face was priceless when he saw his soon to be wife for the first time. After the first look, we headed over to the commonwealth mall and the public garden for some photos in the awesome lighting we were gifted with. Being somewhat of a hybrid wedding, the ceremony was held in American wedding style with Chinese tea ceremony added in. After their first dance, Monica got out of her white wedding dress and got into fiery red wedding dress made for her in China. My favorite moment of the day was probably when Monica and Doug were slow dancing looking super happy surrounded by their family and friend, makes for such a great b+w picture moment to remember the day.– Photographer
