Abby & Danny had a gorgeous wedding at the Colonnade in Boston, Massachusetts. Abby & Danny currently live in Louisville, Kentucky but Abby is originally from Walpole, Massachusetts. So they decided to come back east to say I do!
Extra Special Details
Personal touches. What was really nice is they had little touches, such as her Gringo wedding boots and a mint julep served during the ceremony to tie their wedding to their current life in Kentucky. Everything was pure sophistication the entire day. From the pin lighting in the reception room to the beautiful the String Quartet during the ceremony, to the stunning and delicious food to Abby’s Mom marrying Abby & Danny. The wedding ran seamlessly with the fabulous wedding coordinator Lo McShay of LoLo Event Designs.
The more, the merrier. Abby and Danny had a very large wedding party totaling 18 people. (**wink**)
The wedding day outfits . Abby was a dream bride only asking her bridesmaids to get dresses they want to wear, no specific color or design just something they’d love. Which is totally amazing. The men all wore black suits with clean lines and sophisticated boutonnieres.
Daddy Danny’s girl. Danny’s daughter Kaitlyn was a flower girl and stood with Abby and Danny for their entire ceremony and they wrapped their arms around her with love the entire time. It was so beautiful.
Wedding favor alternative. In lieu of favors they made a donation the Dana Farber Institute.
The Photographer’s Advice
♥ One new trend I’m seeing which is lovely is to block off 15 minutes after the ceremony after all of the pictures are complete and before the reception to have alone time with your new spouse. The day goes by so fast and if you can sneak a couple of moments alone you will be thankful forever!
♥ If certain things are important to you to have at your wedding make room in your budget by cutting someplace else. Would having a candy bar be really cool? Absolutely! But if it means you have to spend less on something that is super important to you then I say axe the candy bar and use the money towards that.
