One spring day, Andrea and Anton’s Tuscan garden wedding was in full bloom of diamonds and pearls, mint green dresses and neckties, under the open blue skies. Since the whole shindig was nature-inspired, they made sure that roses illuminated with twinkling fairy-lights were all over. And to add that genuine garden feels, rose-scented candles were lit, filling the whole atmosphere with rose fragrance. But of all their DIY’s, their party favors was my favorite — tiny boxes embellished with bows and doilies which looked really cute! Thumbs-up to the whole team and congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Fernandez!
The Theme
The bride’s family is Italian so I was inspired by photos of Tuscan Gardens. Our ceremony was on a beautiful green golf course with open blue skies. For the reception, I included strands of garden lights draped above the dance floor, classic pieces like the tall silver vases and candle votives, bright white table clothes and silver chargers, we mixed in silver Moroccan lanterns for fun, and rich greenery like lemon leaf for the centerpieces and accent greenery inserted in the table napkin, and lush white chocolate roses, blush garden roses, pink spray roses, and white hydrangeas.
Wedding Outfit Inspiration
Our vision- classic and timeless, my dress- a Matthew Christopher Marilyn which was hand sewn lace, my veil- which was as long as my dress train and had a touch of sparkle from the clear beading, and the time of yearSpring. The bridesmaid dresses were one shoulder mint green Bill Levekoff and the men wore dark gray Vera Wang suits. Diamonds and pearls for jewelry.
Our Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Projects
Yes, the gift bags and boxes- bright white bags and boxes, mint green doilies, and silver accent bow the menu cards- shimmering pearl white card stock with classic black cursive writing, the sign-in table décor, rustic picture frame with engagement pictures and our favorite pics, shimmering pearl white place cards with standard black cursive, the memorial table décor- 4 silver beaded frames with restored 8×10 photos of our grandparents and Gaston’s father. We placed rose scented candles in the votives on the reception table, the room smelled like a rose garden. It was just heavenly! And we added hanging crystals from center pieces!
Highlights from the Ceremony and the Reception
The fact neither I or the groom cried at the ceremony like we thought we would. We were all smiles and so happy! Walking in as husband and wife was the greatest feeling!! Everyone cheering… you could feel the love in the room. Our families blended so well.
Favorite Part of the Day
Walking down the aisle to meet my handsome fiancé. That moment is something I will never forget.
A Memorable Moment
How calm and peaceful we felt and how beautiful the day turned out to be. It looked as if it was going to rain all day but at 6pm there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Our ceremony outside was breath taking . It was perfect day for a wedding with a beautiful blue and green backdrop. When we look back at the pictures, we feel so blessed to have such beautiful memories.
