We’ve seen many modern minimalist weddings trend in the wedding space recently, but this “over the top” luxury styled shoot tells us that classic glamour will always be in style. Thirteen wedding vendors came together, did their magic, and viola, an extravagant set will capture our hearts today. With gorgeous combination of gold, magenta, and purple and touches of white and green, this shoot is totally adorable! The lavish florals, the outfits, and the venue’s jaw-dropping staircase as well as the grand ballroom were consistent with the theme. Now, let’s see what other beautiful details consisted this amazing shoot as event planner, Tiffanie, shares with us the nitty-gritty!

The “Over the Top!” styled shoot was inspired by the absent 2020 wedding season due to COVID. For the first time the LIVE! Casino and Hotel (Event Center) allowed a styled shoot and we were given three spaces and from there we created a story. The Penthouse Suite was the couple’s “honeymoon” and after the event which showcased just them with beautiful views and details surrounding their day. We also utilized the suite level which was a more glam but casual effect with a long table adorned with high colorful centerpieces, custom elements; menu cards, a touch of florals on the bar, and a black top table. The Grand Ballroom was a favorite as we had space to build two gorgeous arches that were adorned in bright florals; purples, pinks, and some greenery highlighted by uplighting, candles, gold chargers, utensils, and colorful menu cards to compliment the look. – Tiffanie, event planner

Jewel tones have always been associated with love, passion, and romance which is why the month of February, the love season, in particular, is bursting with rich colors. No wonder why shades of emerald green, lush shades of pinks, and deep royal purples make such beautiful wedding motifs. These combinations can exude a range of looks from sensual and elegant to lively and alluring, and will always have an eye-catching pop. If you’re thinking about how to put together a jewel toned wedding, here’s a sophisticated shoot from RLJ Photography, LLC that will give you some inspiration! Welcome to this jewel tone photoshoot inspired by *Love in Colors*. Against the backdrop of a vibrant burst of colors, we are taken on a ride showcasing the beauty and complexity of love through beautiful colors. With the arrival of winter, rich opulent jewel tones of emerald green, lush shades of pinks and deep royal purples set the scene fit for a king and his queen. Exuding elegance and class, this color palette mixes dark tones and different textures to create a romantic look.

As the perfect muse, the beautiful bride and her love for vibrant colors which tell a story, was the main inspiration for this shoot. An unconventional bride with classic yet modern tastes, her wedding look had to be the foundation from which every other element of the shoot comes together. Her swarovski studded and lace Soliloquy wedding dress was ‘a little bit vintage and a little bit glam’. Accenting her simple elegant dress was a statement headpiece made of delicate petals and pearls. A simple bouquet of mostly hot pink roses with decadent green leaves topped off with a little bit of bling, completed this perfect timeless look.

With the wedding dress being intentionally understated, we wanted the colors in the decor to pop and make a bold statement. Custom gold tables were set with towering gold candelabras and clusters of low flower arrangements of lush hot pink roses, purple carnations, purple ranunculus and scabiosa black burgundy. Finishing it off with our gorgeous purple floral charger plates with matching gold cutlery sets, lends texture and depth to the overall look, giving it a truly elegant and romantic look. The backdrop was a sweetheart’s dream come true with cascading florals and candles surrounding a bold statement making an emerald green sofa.

The beauty of a jewel toned wedding is being able to indulge in the elegance and grandeur that the theme exudes, even if it’s just for one day. With deep bold tones mixed with bright pretty colors, this shoot pays homage to a classic couple with modern taste. A passionate couple who isn’t afraid to show their love through colors.

Reception

Jackie and Nico’s ceremony and reception – coordinated by LVL Wedding & Events– took place at the charming Rancho Las Lomas located in Silverado, California. Nestled under ancient oak and sycamore trees, the open-air theater with a marble ceremonial stage was a spectacular place to say, “I do.”

Botanical Gardens

The white stucco, the blue and white hand painted tiles, and the botanical gardens that surround the large patios helped set the mood for a truly enchanting experience. With long flowing white fabric, a perfectly styled arrangement of flowers by Lynne Lucente Floral Designs hanging from the altar, and string lights, the ceremony and reception were dripping with elegance.

The Color Palette

The inspiration for the color palette came from garden scenes and the bride’s personal taste. The light natural blush and navy colors, along with the abundance of greenery set the tone for a sweet, classic, and elegant atmosphere.

The Wardrobe

The bridesmaids were styled in long, high-necked blush-colored gowns, and the groomsmen wore deep navy suits, to match the groom who was dressed by Men’s Warehouse. He added his own flair to his outfit by adding cowboy boots.

Jackie’s beautiful, voluminous locks were effortlessly curled by the talented Vanity Belle Beauty and her makeup done by Karlee Eldridge Makeup. She chose minimal jewelry and dangling earrings to accessorize with. Her stunning, elegant mermaid gown from Kinsley James Couture Walnut Creek, definitely had heads turning. Jackie’s flower bouquet was a stunning assortment of ivory and pink, with lush greenery throughout.

The Dessert Table

Their sweet cake, baked by Donna B’s Bakery, with textured icing and an array of flowers, added to the elegant style. Besides dessert, the main courses were provided by 24 Carrots.

The Reception Tables

The reception tables were adorned with large eye-catching bouquets, plenty of greenery, and gold accents. Photography for the day was captured by Three16 Photography, and videography by Luv in Flying Colors. Last but certainly not least, the wedding invitation set was created by Out of the Envelope.

Every aspect of the day came together beautifully to create a stunning, natural, and enchanting wedding!

Take this Advice

Our best advice is to book your vendors well in advance! It takes away a lot of stress, and the vendors you prefer will be more likely available. Two other pieces of advice are in the realm of booking your photographer. We highly suggest booking the same photographer for your engagement session and wedding day, and if that same photographer offers video as well, book it all together! Not only does all of this save you money, but it’s also one less vendor you have to be in contact with-which in the long run means less stress! On wedding day amidst the craziness, it can often times be better for the photographer and videographer to be from the same team because they’ve worked together before and can easily coordinate schedules and be sure to not be in the other’s shots. ~Jerrick O’Connor/Photographer

Adirondack Luxury Vintage Inspired Wedding

Set in the lush Adirondack Mountains of NY, this styled shoot looks like it came straight out of a storybook! In this majestic place, birch trees and pine cones reign supreme but there is so much more from romantic to luxurious elements to inspire your wedding. And what better color to choose as the motif this season than the unfailingly romantic navy, gold, and pink? These awesome set of vendors wanted to bring back the old school romance of the Great Camp era and the influences of luxury that came with it. Inspired by rich colors, beautiful textures and a dash of gold, they highlighted the romance and love that can only be felt in the mountains. Fasten your seatbelts, because we’re about to take you to another whimsical inspiration! Today, you’re going to see Erin and Diego’s Downtown Houston Elegant Wedding. We absolutely love the artistic approach this couple took on their traditional, black tie affair. It was absolutely incredible to be viewing such beautiful works of art while this couple created their own little piece of history. The first thing I noticed were the wedding colors! Just take a look at the bride’s lush bouquet, the dainty cake, and her chic dress- I’m officially blown away! It is always exciting when a Bride has two dresses. We can never get enough of the beauty! Erin chooses an incredible second gown with painted florals in it. It was absolutely stunning! Colorful and Unique Historic Ballroom Wedding

Good day, everyone! I hope you are all smiles today- just like everyone that witnessed Michael and Maggie’s Ballroom Wedding! Let’s just start with the amazing details! The bridesmaids wore a stunning rich fuschia gown. The backdrop for the ceremony was a custom recreation of a church at the family beach house. Another one was the custom stained glass window replica that was created to put on the faux church front façade re-created in the ballroom ceremony. The reception ballroom was transformed with rich and dark colors with an epic band, late night mini hot dogs, and fries. And you know what gave it the perfect touch? The pedicab getaway “bike” for this bike loving couple! I’m telling you, you’ve just got to see this one! Try to incorporate as much of your love story and who you are as a couple into the wedding as possible. This couple really enjoys riding bikes so they included a bike in their engagement session, then entered the reception on a tricycle and then exited the reception on a pedi-cab. I know it did wonders as I instantly fell-in-love with all the details of Kelli and Blake’s stunning wedding at The Chapel at Ana Villa! Their wedding colors were hot pink and navy, and boy did this unique combination make an unforgettable day! While most people associate elegant weddings with soft pastels, Kelli and Blake proved that stereotyping wrong! The hot pink was a bold touch that contributed beautifully to this elegant event! Even stunning details of this day was bold and beautiful! You’ll love the cake that the couple baked for the wedding which doesn’t compromise on the looks and design. Blake and Kelli and added several incredibly unique touches that i’m sure everyone will adore. Take a look at that purple and orange garter! Kelli loves Halloween colors, and wasn’t afraid to wear them–in March! Like what we say here in Elegant Wedding, wear what you want!

It was fun for the toss, and awesome in those pictures. Kelli’s shoes were also bold with her white dress, and turned out stunning in her wedding album. I appreciated the touches of black and gold in addition to the hot pink and navy blue–I felt that the black brought out a powerful element of the hot pink.

Did you check out their cakes? I LOOOOVE when couples have their own cakes. This way they don’t have to compromise on how they want them to look.

Take this Advice

Remember that you can’t please everybody. Weddings are notorious for inspiring those around you to offer up unsolicited advice and expectations that you DON’T have to listen to! This is your day! A gorgeous weekend, ladies! I have a little treat for you today. This styled shoot taken by Joy Davis is grand, glamorous and romantic! Set in the Grand Bohemian Hotel, this is not your average reception. It’s opulent, intricate and ornate! The whole shebang! From Swarovski Crystal chandeliers to antiqued mirrored walls, this space speaks to the sophisticated bride who appreciates luxury and vintage glam. And not to mention the extraordinary ballroom gallery design that is absolutely styled to perfection. This inspirational shoot features a modern twist on the Art Nouveau era. A time when artists were inspired by nature and architecture, which paved the way for its predecessor, the Art Deco movement. Two Ceremonies in One Wedding

Oh, how we adore traditional weddings! But having two traditional ceremonies in one luxurious wedding is something so special that we knew right away that we must share this inspirational gem with you! Michelle & Paraag drew on both of their cultures to try and blend their two families. They started with the traditional Christian ceremony and then followed by the Sangeet and Mehendi which is an Indian wedding ritual. The first wedding was filled with deep fuschia, light pink and teal color scheme highlighted with beautiful bouquets on the ends of the rows while the second ceremony was filled with bright colors, food and drinks, singing and dancing, and of course the traditional henna. Everything about this wedding centers on how both of their cultures blended as their families become one through marriage which is absolutely gorgeous! The Ceremonies

The couple had wanted to have the Christian ceremony outside with nature as the main décor; at the last minute it was changed inside and the event and decor team made the inside space absolutely stunning with ivory draping behind the stage. Their sangeet and mehendi was popping with colors, beautiful lanterns on the tables and henna stations. Their Hindu ceremony mandap was absolutely beautiful – highlighting some of their favorite colors – gold, teal, fuschia. Their reception incorporated a little from each event preceding it with the mandap in the center and beautiful floral centerpieces and candelabras.

The Florals

The floral masterpieces were created by Chloe based on some inspiration from Pinterest. The couple had cascading tulips from the main centerpieces and mandap ties. Michelle commented that the bridal bouquet was the most beautiful bouquet she have ever seen.

The Treats

The couple had great food for each event that highlighted each of their backgrounds. The indian cuisine was fantastic. They also had Michelle make paisley cookies to serve after the Hindu ceremony which were decorated in a henna design. In addition their wedding cake, the groom’s cake was also fabulous. The groom’s cake was modeled after the bottle of wine he proposed over and their wedding cake had an ombre of teal fading to pink with a gold henna design.

Extra Special Details

Michelle happened to find her Christian wedding gown on her first try. It felt very regal – as if something the Royal family would wear to a Winter formal. She found her Hindu ceremony sari in India with her husband’s aunt in the markets in Lucknow, as well as her sangeet lengha. For their reception, Michelle found a rose gold Badgley Mishka gown from Dillard’s to party the night away in. Paraag found his tuxedo at Campagna Napoli which is owned by Jason Campagna, who used to work at Tiffany’s and actually helped them with their engagement ring. He also found his Hindu ceremony and sangeet sherwanis in India in the markets in Lucknow and New Delhi.

Take this Advice

Always take time for each other. Try not to get caught up in the tiny details – no one will notice but you. Enjoy each other and don’t sweat the small stuff. Give in on the guest list. ~Michelle Owens/Bride

The details of this wedding were very minimalistic, instead utilizing the beauty of the vineyard and their banquet room. The couple originally had booked a local barn venue for a Saturday wedding. They came across Zenith Vineyard and fell in love, changing their date and forfeiting the deposit they had on the barn venue.

If you’re not fully in love with your prospective venue, keep looking. Where you marry and who you choose to photograph the day are the two most important decisions you’ll make for your wedding. When searching for a photographer, find one that also offers albums. Digital files are fun to post on social media – and the buzz they create will last a few weeks.
