A long table and nude cane back chairs are compatible with any hue a couple would choose for their theme. Blush Baking Company handcrafted a white three-tier cake, ready for individual styling.

If a couple opts for an outdoor wedding, a spacious greenhouse created for an enchanting and romantic atmosphere is also available on the property. It is tailored for intimate elopements and can also be used for cocktail hours and rehearsal dinners.

Industrial Vintage Wedding at The Hackney Warehouse

An elegant wedding does not always mean glitz and glamour. We believe it also means matching colors perfectly and picking the right mix of elements. Such is seen in Justine and Fernando’s Industrial Vintage Wedding at The Hackney Warehouse. Take a look at the bridesmaids’ dresses, the greenery, and the pampas grass decor – they all went amazing with the brick architecture. And honestly, I just can’t find enough words to describe this entire set. Ahh, is “utterly beautiful” even accepted? Go ahead check out these photos captured by Jamie Marie Photography. From The Bride

Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?
Me and my husband wanted an Industrial theme mixed with vintage, hence the beautiful brick architecture that we fell in love with at The Hackney Warehouse.

Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?
For decorations, we wanted simplicity. So we went with greenery and small vases. I found out that ‘bunny tails’ we’re a perfect match to the small apothecary bottles we bought. A lot of our decorations were DIY such as the lantern terrariums as well as the green lanterns that I painted myself. Me and my husband also built the donut board from scratch ourselves. It was definitely something we found important to add pieces of ourselves into our wedding instead of just buying everything.

Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?
We incorporated a lot of Hispanic flair into our wedding from the music to the food because this was something important to my husband and the culture he grew up in. It was nice to see all the touches come together on the day of our wedding.

Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
My advice, take your time. Rome wasn’t built in a day, so why should one of the most memorable moments of your life be rushed into a year. Take your time and make sure that you get all the important details you want to be incorporated into your wedding and don’t let the venue hinder your ideas. That was the best thing about The Hackney Warehouse, they let us cook our own food and without being able to combine the southern and Hispanic cuisines from our background, our day just wouldn’t have been as special. Fernando says be resourceful in incorporating your own ideas by making things yourself because it adds a special touch to your wedding. Above all else, enjoy the day because it goes by so fast and you don’t want to remember it by being stressed out.

Helicopter Engagement Session

Love is in the air! Well, today’s featured couple took their love literally in the air as they went up to the ice mountains for their helicopter engagement session. This has become just one of the many recent unique engagement ideas and being the adventurous couple they are, Sonia and Ryan did not shy away from doing such a new trend. Fun fact – it was their first helicopter flight ever! The future bride wore a gorgeous, blush, A-line dress from Luxx Nova with a light fabric that made it easy for her to walk in the snow. Micro and intimate weddings have really become exceedingly popular in 2020 and our business truly pivoted to accommodate. Christmas is the best time of the year in my opinion. We designed this shoot around the warm, candlelit, Christmas dinners our family always had. We included Greenery, Christmas lights, candles, and oh so much snow! The bride’s gown is a new design that had an overall look like it was covered in snow and sparkles. The groom’s tux was the perfect shade of red for the season. We included touches of gold in the greenery and filled the venue with candlelight.

Mad for Mauve Bridal Session

Inspired by the dreamiest color tones of mauve, blush, creme, and gold, this whimsical editorial session was shot at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel Ballroom. The inspiration behind this editorial was to combine modern glam with a touch of romantic flair. With its classically beautiful crystal chandelier, the interior of the Waterfront Ballroom served as the perfect venue to bring our vision to life. We’re All About the Details!

For the floral elements, seasonal foliage was handpicked to compliment the blooms including roses, spray roses, hydrangea, eryngium, eucalyptus, olive branches, and Limonium. Deckled handmade paper was used for the stationery suite, and the delicate calligraphy was paired perfectly with the understated typography. To create a romantic ambiance, the sweetheart setting was lit with candle lights, and we also added string lights to the backdrop, which bring out the soft and whimsical aspect of the blush canopy.Both bridal gowns the model wore are from the 2019 Pronovias Collection. The dress with the sweetheart table, was a spectacular princess dress, fitted at the natural waist, has a full skirt made with flowing organza ruffles that overlap in a cascade to give it greater volume. The skirt blended into a delicate long-sleeved bodice in lace and guipure, where flowers framed a suggestive closed illusion neckline that opens into an open back.

The gown with the flower backdrop was an evasé skirt, fitted at the natural waist, crafted in chiffon and soft tulle with beaded thread and Chantilly appliqués. A design overflowing with details and nuances intended to emphasize the femininity of the bride with its silhouette and light fabrics. The flowing skirt with layers of soft tulle and Chantilly panels blended with a bodice with a V-neckline and bias-cut chiffon trim that contrasts with the illusion back in crystal tulle with thread-embroidered floral appliqués. The bodice was complemented with a lining to minimize the sheer effects.For the desserts, both the donut bar and the cake station were featured with handcrafted paper flowers, as well as gold laser-cut signs. The donuts from the donut bar were the Wedding Specialty Donuts provided by Cartems, and were displayed on a crystal board, framed with handcrafted paper flowers and leaves.The wedding cake, decorated with delicately handcrafted sugar flowers, was displayed on pedestals in front of a large white circular backdrop. The flowers on the cake and the backdrop were created to harmonize with one another, with hydrangea, roses, and peonies. Not to mention that each flower petal on the cake is meticulously hand-painted to match the overall theme.

My name is Jackie Larkin, photographer of Jackie Hall Photography. I am inspired by light, nature, and love. I want to connect my subjects to their environment and to themselves and absolutely love working so closely with them to create an amazing experience they will never forget, and images to look back on forever. My favourite sessions to photograph are couples (engagement, weddings, etc.), boudoir, and fashion, using beautiful backgrounds and interesting elements to tell a story. My studio is based out of Regina, askatchewan, but I frequently travel the country shooting weddings, engagement sessions, and portraits.
