A Vintage and Rustic Plantation Wedding

Vintage details in a rustic countryside setting. Color me interested. Teresa and Wes sure had a lovely wedding. I would even say magical because of the woods and the fairylights that adorned their ceremony and photo shoots.  Then there’s their color scheme which I am now a fan of. I’m so used to coral being partnered light teal or sky that it’s combination with navy blue is a new thing for my eyes and I must say, I like it! It’s unconventional so it can be a bit tricky to pull off but this wedding goes to show how to actually get it done. Anyway, congratulations Teresa and Wes!

What is the overall story for this album?

A destination wedding where family and friends traveled from all over to celebrate the love of Teresa and Wes. The camaraderie between both families was indeed something special. There was nothing but smiles and laughter at every corner. Teresa and Wes were extremely joyous and happy about sharing this moment with their closest friends and families. They are a beautiful couple with such a sweet heart and kindness to them.

What inspired the wedding day outfits?

What inspired the outfits was a classic, timeless, and vintage look. Teresa loved the way the vest made the men look vintage, and they both liked the color grey as a color scheme. Teresa allowed the bridesmaids to pick their style of dress as long as navy and coral were the colors being selected.

What was your favorite part of the day?

Teresa and Wes favorite part of the day was being able to share this moment with their closest friends and family. The idea behind their destination wedding was for them to experience an intimate weekend with those that are dear to them.

What were the highlights from the ceremony & reception?

Teresa and Wes really enjoyed the Scottish bagpiper during the ceremony. They also enjoyed the creativity behind Wes’ brother and nephews toast.

Was there a theme for the ceremony and reception?

Teresa and Wes were created a vintage feel to their wedding. The lights and lanterns that hung from the trees, stairs, and tables, as well as the venue itself had a vintage appeal to it.

What part of the ceremonies do you think was the most memorable for the bride and groom?

Other than getting ready, I think the reception was a memorable part of their ceremony. Teresa and Wes planned a destination wedding with all their guest in mind. The invitations even allowed for guest to make music request. Having everyone in one location was extremely memorable for them. During reception I think they only danced about twice, the rest of the time they were mingling with guest. Besides the beautiful decor and vintage theme, it was a lively, beautiful, and very wholesome celebration.

Anything else you would like to add ?

The venue was fabulous. I thought the Mackie House was perfect for a bride that is looking for a rustic-vintage theme. So much greenery and vintage style ornaments all over the property shaped this wedding to be really romantic and intimate.
