Leslie and Colton: Romantic Church Wedding

It’s sentimental for Leslie and Colton to finally tie the knot at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, where they both grew up attending. The solemn ceremony, with the company of family and the closest of friends, made the day extra special. One of the highlights of the day was the bride’s first look with her dad and future husband at separate times. Her first look with her dad was all tears, hugs, reassurances. This was one of those moments that prove brides are daddy’s forever little girl! While with Colton, it was laughter, jokes, and hugs. Such a nice sneak peek into how fun they are together. The reception was an amazing sight. Beautiful white and pink blossoms by The Senterpiece, in contrast with the blue table cover and napkins, fill the ballroom of the Lakeside Country Club. The couple’s initials marked the floor at the center of the reception venue. This is where the couple romantically glided as they did their first dance. Guests stayed at the dance floor dancing to the music the Royal Dukes played all night. The couple then got a taste of the first slice of the four-layered blue and white cake by CBV Cake Design and the wine signifying prosperity to follow the couple for the rest of their lives. The food was incredible and so was the streamer exit to end the night. The Ramseys Photography took the best photos and captured the best day of the couple’s life together. The Married Co did a splendid job – one that the couple will never forget!

We love how the team behind this aquamarine inspired styled shoot carefully decided on the details! Firstly, all the colors in this shoot were on point. The combination of blush, muted blue and gold touches provided a calm tone that pulled it all together. Meanwhile, for couples who love to have a grand entrance, the Larz Anderson House is a perfect choice. It’s a tangible element of elegance and is known for its amazing architecture. The floral arrangements from PETALOS DC were organic and definitely stood out. Having a beautiful head turned white horse on your wedding day would be a dream! Photographer Victoria Delgado of Tori Del Photography did a wonderful job capturing all the nitty-gritty and color in every frame, and we especially love the calm and peaceful feeling every photo evokes. Event planner Glory Barbaris wanted to incorporate beautiful details, colors, and textures from the luxury stoneware into a simple yet elegant tablescape that brought the warmth of Spring and Summer in a light and airy atmosphere. I love the understated elegance of the bride’s gown-it’s modern yet classy design is gorgeous. Absolutely adored the bouquet as well! We’re All About the Details!

There are so many details that I love from this event, and a couple, in particular, stood out to me. The gorgeous floral backdrop was such a beautiful detail that literally light up the room. I also loved the table setting, especially the serveware (luxury stoneware dishes and pitchers). I love the colors, textures and the look of them that really made the room pop. I also love the white drapery, vintage chairs, and the bridal gown–everything was so beautiful!

Take this Advice

Planning a wedding (or any special event) can be overwhelming, there’s so much to think about and consider from guest experience to the bride and groom. I think the most important advice I can give to couples still in the planning process is to have trust in the process; trust your planner, designer, coordinator–they know what they’re doing. Don’t get to hung up or stressed out about the details (not if you have a planner or stylist). If you are planning your wedding yourself without the help of a professional, really think about your budget, think about what you both want, must-haves vs. nice-to-haves, and really narrow it down to what’s important. At the end of the day, t his is about YOU and no one else. remember to have fun throughout the process, it is so easy to lose sight of the big picture so I would say, definitely, take it one day at a time. Elegant Small Town Wedding

How’s your week going so far? Everything Gucci? Let’s hype it up some more with today’s featured wedding. If you’re a fan of simple elegance like I am, then you’re surely going to love Haley and Grant’s elegant small town wedding. Thanks to Ashleigh Donahue Photography, we get to have a ton of beautiful and pin-worthy wedding inspiration today. There are a lot of wedding details to love about their wedding. First, the absolutely gorgeous white bridal dress. It’s so pretty that matches the elegant Swansea aesthetic. Even the details perfectly complement the traditional over-all wedding décor. I also couldn’t get enough of their fancy floral details that looked absolutely alluring! Lastly, I adored how the couple really made this wedding extra special with simple elements that shows how happy they truly are. Come and take a look!

Take this Advice

If I could give any advice to couples still planning I would say, make sure you plan ahead. Make sure everything is done before the day of the wedding so that you’re not stressed. You want to be able to relax on your wedding day, and if everything is planned to be the best it could be, there will be no regrets! I feel like my mom and I had done everything we could to plan, so on the day of the wedding, it was exactly what I wanted! Another piece of advice I would give would be don’t stress the little things. I know that’s hard to imagine for some brides because I was one of them. When you get to the day of, there are just things that don’t really matter. There are things that people will not remember, so do not sweat the small stuff. I was getting ready to reveal my dress to all of my bridesmaids and flower girls. Literally moments before I walked into the room, one of my earrings broke. I had spent a lot of time planning how I wanted to look on my wedding day. Each little detail was planned out. My earrings, my garter, my hair piece. Everything. I had spent so much money on these beautiful, crystal earrings and they broke! Just like that! I couldn’t fix them; I couldn’t wear them. Luckily, my maid of honor had a pair of pearls with her. My expensive earrings were thrown to the wayside for a pair of faux pearl earrings. I could’ve been upset, but at that point it wasn’t something anyone else would notice or care about, so I wasn’t going to worry about it either. ~Ashleigh Donahue/Photographer

Plush Tented Classic Wedding

Today’s featured wedding is an amazing treat! Josh and Kendall’s tended wedding features romantic, blush color tones and simplistically beautiful florals with lots of lush greenery. Their getting ready details were shot at the quaint boutique hotel – Hotel Florence, in downtown Florence, SC. The ceremony took place at First Baptist Church of Florence, where the Bride’s family has attended for generations. The elaborate tented reception was held a few miles away, at the Bride’s parent’s home (a working horse farm). The reception featured plush lounging areas with chairs in brightly colored pinks and blues, white couches and vintage-inspired furniture. The cocktail hour was held around the pool area, with a full outdoor white wooden bar, floating florals, and cafe lights. And then the rain set in- but no worries- the night was still perfect! Inside the tent, guests escaped the rain and partied all night to the rocking sounds of the Finesse Band. White-clothed tables, gold bamboo chairs, and chandeliers dripping with greenery set the tone for this glamorous affair. By the way, because of the rain, The Bride and Groom had to do their rose petal exit on the front porch of the family’s home, running through the rain to the awaiting vintage Bentley which was absolutely awesome! Hot Pink and Navy

Today, we have something special that will definitely make everyone’s morning brighter! I know it did wonders as I instantly fell-in-love with all the details of Kelli and Blake’s stunning wedding at The Chapel at Ana Villa! Their wedding colors were hot pink and navy, and boy did this unique combination make an unforgettable day! While most people associate elegant weddings with soft pastels, Kelli and Blake proved that stereotyping wrong! The hot pink was a bold touch that contributed beautifully to this elegant event! Even stunning details of this day was bold and beautiful! You’ll love the cake that the couple baked for the wedding which doesn’t compromise on the looks and design. Kudos to Fairy Tale Photography’s lovely snaps that showcase the beauty of this wedding inspiration for everyone to enjoy! Lots of love ladies!

Blake and Kelli and added several incredibly unique touches that i’m sure everyone will adore. Take a look at that purple and orange garter! Kelli loves Halloween colors, and wasn’t afraid to wear them–in March! Like what we say here in Elegant Wedding, wear what you want!

It was fun for the toss, and awesome in those pictures. Kelli’s shoes were also bold with her white dress, and turned out stunning in her wedding album. I appreciated the touches of black and gold in addition to the hot pink and navy blue–I felt that the black brought out a powerful element of the hot pink.

Did you check out their cakes? I LOOOOVE when couples have their own cakes. This way they don’t have to compromise on how they want them to look.

Take this Advice

Remember that you can’t please everybody. Weddings are notorious for inspiring those around you to offer up unsolicited advice and expectations that you DON’T have to listen to! This is your day! Do your thing. You want a halloween-themed garter in March that doesn’t match the rest of your wedding colors? Who cares? That’s awesome! Kelli and Blake did it, and nobody has any regrets.
