Jeweled and Rustic Outdoor Wedding

I love the mixture of elegant and rustic pieces in this wedding. The outfits of the entourage and our couple looked so regal, I specially loved the jeweled tone blue of the bridesmaids’ dresses and the simple white bouquets the ladies carried. Then it was complemented by rustic details and decors that ranged from old suitcases, chalkboards, and even wooden signposts placed on hay. It truly was a beautiful day. Congratulations Erica & Barrett!

What would you say is the overall story for this album?

A couple that met in the big city of Vancouver but both grew up in small town Ontario, who wanted to have their wedding at the Caddo custom built estate (in Ontario) so all of their family could share their special day.

What inspired the wedding day outfits?

Erica has always always loved laced wedding dresses and illusion necklines; classy, yet simple and not overdone. This style mixed with a gorgeous teal for the bridesmaids and chartreuse accents were stunning.

What was your favorite part of the day?

Walking down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. Caddo.

Was there any DIY projects?

The wedding programs were made as fans so our guests could keep themselves cool. E&B individually cut out all of the pages which was a much much longer task than they had predicted! Erica’s father-in-law made a homemade plinko board for the kissing game which provided hilarious entertainment for the guests. Guests also took home a bottle of local maple syrup a a wedding favour which was a big hit.

What were the highlights from the ceremony and reception?

The wonderful words from E&B’s wedding officiant and the excitement both Barrett and Erica felt during the ceremony were the highlights. Also seeing their nieces and nephews making it down the aisle and hugging Barrett was priceless. A favourite part of the reception were the speeches, the poem Barrett wrote to Erica, the wedding shoe game the best man had them play which made everyone laugh. The father/daughter and mother/son dance was really special.

Was there a theme for the ceremony and reception?

Barrett and Erica are very passionate about traveling and seeing the world. They have traveled to many countries both together and individually. The theme for the reception was the countries around the world that we have visited, and each table was named after a country they had visited, along with a photo of them in that Country

What part of the ceremony do you think was most memorable for the bride and groom? Guests?

Guests: The ceremony when the flower girls and ring bearer walked down the aisle and when Erica and Barrett read the vows. And the speeches, everyone laughed and commented on how great they were. Bride and groom: The reveal moment, ceremony and reception all had their own very memorable moments. One of the things they will remember always was how happy their parents were the whole day. Their is nothing better than feeling the excitement and pride that your parents have for you on your wedding day. Having their support and blessing was so comforting and reassuring.
