Flowers and Love Galore

Ryan ♥ Alana

Ryan and Alana compliment each other very well. He is outgoing, driven and athletic while she is sweet, gentle, focused and caring. Both love sports. That being said, Ryan and Alana wanted their playfulness to be shown on their wedding day. It was a wedding day filled with special moments and different kinds of flowers! The warmest wishes to a lovely couple from the Inspired Bride team. May your love be a firm foundation for a beautiful married life!

The Love Story

We met at Duquesne University. We had mutual friends and started dating after I graduated from college. Ryan is 4 years older. We actually went to neighboring high schools as well. We knew we were in love after a month of dating. I know it sounds cliche, but when you know you found the right person, you just know. We fell in love quickly and have been inseparable ever since, we even went on 3 dates in one week in the beginning of our relationship!

Details That Made This Wedding Extra Special

The decor. The wedding decor was inspired by the venue. The venue has a gorgeous atrium with lush gardens. Alana wanted a colorful, romantic feel with the decor and flowers. She kept the tables simple but elegant with white linens and table clothes, a menu cars, lace table number, and the floral center pieces which were different on each table.

The centerpieces. As playful as the couple, their centerpieces were just as too. Each table has different kinds of floral arrangements.

The highlights from the ceremony and reception. First dance together, cutting the cake, getting to enjoy cocktail hour with family and friends and dancing! The couple went to their cocktail hour after taking pictures so they could talk to family members and friends before dinner.

The color palette. Ivory, pink, gold, lilac.

Advice For Brides-To-Be

♥ Plan early! Book your important vendors early, set up an individualized timeline to get all the details done. I created a wedding binder with tabs and if I found any inspiration from magazines, blogs, I would place it under each tab. I also kept all contracts and receipts in there. I created a wedding and rehearsal day timeline and contact sheets with vendor names and phone numbers.

♥ Enjoy it, because the time goes by so fast!

Money Matters

The budget was designed for each category. The reception had a 15,000 budget for food, alcohol, and the venue. The rehearsal dinner, dress, tuxedos, limousine, flowers, all were about 10,000 total! I don’t know the exact number!
