The Bride and Groom’s Ensembles

The bride’s dress was an ombre Hayley Paige dress that faded from an ivory into an oyster blue that fit the shoot perfectly! Also, note how they strayed from the traditional one colored wedding dress. Ombre, hand-painted, and printed wedding dress is another big trend for 2017. Meanwhile, to match the bride’s and the motif, the groom donned a blue suit paired with brown shoes — such a refreshing sight!

The Venue

The clean and lush setup looked intimate and organic (my dream wedding tbh), but at the same time breathtaking! The subtle vines creeping on to the furnitures is whimsical that’ll make you and your guests feel so relaxed and refreshed. Jana is such a genius for setting up this beauty — kudos to her creative team also.

The Charming Cake

This dusty blue cake is definitely a scene stealer — strategically placed and decorated at that! This four-tier beauty is adorned with fresh leaves every layer to carry on with the organic bohemian theme. The Invites

Maurelle Calligraphy did an amazing job making these delicate and romantic invites. One should always invest in their invites because it will give your guests a glimpse of your wedding just like these dreamy set. You should Pin it for future reference!

The Dessert Table

The intricate details on the rose cupcakes are reminiscent of the vintage tea sets, and all the desserts are also designed with pops of violet and blush. This delectable table left me drooling over the buttercream cake in violet ombre watercolor. The Outfits

The couple had a total of two looks for this dreamy occasion. The team went all out and made everything realistic as possible. The bride’s first dress was a white A-line gown with intricate embroidery. While the groom donned a deep purple suit to keep up with their color scheme!

For the second look, the bride was wearing a pink tulle evening gown from Clara Couture Bridal’s custom collection, with sweetheart neckline, and ruched bodice. The layered A-line skirt with horsehair trim has a whimsical and fairy tale look. I NEED THAT DRESS. LOVE!

The Swing Setup

The dreamy and whimsical corner with lots of lace elements on the wooden swing is downright whimsical and rustic.

The Setup

It’s like Valentine’s Day exploded in this plain gray room and made brunch 10 times even more romantic and fun than it already is. Isn’t this a lovely sight to see as you celebrate being a bride-to-be with your beloved BFF. Red, fuchsia, and gold dominated the room with a bit of black and white stripes to give the setup character. The Kate Spade inspired styling is so extra I am loving it! Plus crushing on the eye-popping tiffany chairs, to be honest.

If this doesn’t scream Valentine’s Day I don’t know what will.

A keen eye to details is a must!

The Ceremony

Mitchell and Hannah’s wedding ceremony was set outdoor. I love the juxtaposition of the dainty outfits in pink and white against the lush green and earthy brown of the forest. It gave a sweet atmosphere as they exchanged their vows. It was a mixture of dainty and rustic that ended up being so romantic!

The Wardrobe

The softness of the colors pink, white, and tan stood out sweetly. It was a great choice with the consideration of their venue! There were also some unique touches that the couple added to make it more personal. Instead of a flower, they had fishing lures as boutonniere — to showcase Mitchell’s love for fishing! The bridesmaid looked lovely wearing their pastel pink cocktail dress. The flower girls’ innocence radiated as their donned a puffy white dress with a pink belt. The little boys were so cute in their white shirt and tan shorts combo, plus those bow ties are just adorable!  The wardrobe for the wedding party was indeed on point.

The Reception

I describe their reception as a prettified barn! The white and tan accents inside made the whole look dainty without washing out the rusticness of the barn itself.

On Wedding Planning:

♥ Enjoy it! It may be stressful at times but when a vendor falls through or something doesn’t go as planned, that is just the Lord planning your day perfectly for you. On the day of, you won’t care what is going on… you will just be ready to see your soon to be husband!

jill’s wedding gown was a surprise to everyone, only her mom & sister knew what it looked like! She kept it a secret from the rest of the bridal party including her then fiance. Totally worth it! I mean why wouldn’t it be? Just look how gorgeous she is in it!

Happy girls are the prettiest! Another tip: if you don’t want your bridesmaids to dress in uniform make them wear different styles and shades of the color motif. It’ll be a lovely gradient. Just make sure that the colors will complement each other!

A good alternative for gifts! Make your guests gift you the honeymoon of your dreams. This is definitely a good and practical idea!

This cute cake is just one out of five that they had! (Yes, they had five cakes. How lucky are their guest?) I think this one is solely dedicated to the groom!

Planning advice from Jill

If you want to achieve this boho chic wedding then heed these tips from the bride herself.

1. Delegate tasks. I like to try and wear all the hats–don’t do that to yourself, it’s not worth the headache. Family & friends are there to help you. Make a list of the individuals willing to help and give it to them ahead of time that way it’s clear & they have time to ask questions.
2. Get an amazing photographer. Trust them & know that their vision is the same as yours for your wedding day. She took the time to get to know us and who we are. Our photographer captured an array of candid moments and those are my favorite, the emotions are so raw– just looking at them takes me back.
3. Tell your wedding party exactly what to do. Create a very detailed itinerary of the wedding weekend for anyone involved. That way everyone knows where to be and what’s expected of them.
4. Lastly, don’t sweat the small stuff. Enjoy every moment of your wedding day. We told our family & friends that if anything goes wrong we don’t want to know about it, just fix the problem & we’ll laugh about it tomorrow.

Angelica and Will fell in love few years ago and tied the knot while they were still in college. Definitely a success in the DIY department, the bride herself did small details like the flowers and hair and makeup.  The couple said their vows at The Fountains in Middletown, NY, with straggling views covered in slight fog the day of the wedding. Everything led up to wonderful photos below captured by Laurel Creative!

We’re All About the Details

The bouquets were made by the bride and her mother. They had a lot of fun DIY’ing them.

They got married beneath a large beautiful Christmas wreath. With the holidays coming, they used Christmas balls and shiny pine cones as centerpieces.

Their cake had a beautiful winter theme with sparkles and pretty snowflakes on it.

Then they sealed the night with dancing that gave the entire room a fun pary atmosphere.

Advice for Brides-To-Be

Being that I am engaged, have your fiance help with planning! It can be fun to make decisions together and dream about the future. Don’t try to please anyone. Make it a day that you, your fiance, and your family can enjoy. If you can afford it- try to hire as many vendors as you can. The last thing you want is bad photos, or trying to fix a sound system during your dance.
